Man on the Tower

Picture by Marcelo Ruduit Paris 2018

The photographer:

It was the 19th of April and he was just there standing by the side of the tower.

Was he reflecting on something?

No one just stand by the side of the tower.

It’s like a car crash you must see her.

It was a silent person. Not because he didn’t speak.

But it was the silence of his body that was screaming at everyone.

It was that silence that catch my attention.

Just standing by the side of the tower.

He was reliving a memory and my mind was deriving in what it could be.

Just standing by the side of the tower.

The man standing by the side of the tower:

Hi, it’s the 19th of April and I’m here with you.

Just standing by the side of the tower.

Your red shoes are shining perfectly for your sister’s 18 birthday party.

The navy polka dot dress is flying with the cold breeze of the afternoon.

It’s just me standing here by the side of the tower but I can feel how your hand touch my shoulder and start the embrace.

It’s always you that comes to embrace but is always me that feel the heat of it from the inside.

It’s just me standing here by the side of the tower and I remember the moment I reach for the inside pocket of my jacket.

You felt it and take a step on the side.

Just standing by the side of the tower I hold stronger to your body and opened the little box.

Your eyes popped. It wasn’t a surprise you choose the ring with me.

But you didn’t expected.

That I could be romantic just by the side of the tower.

The photographer:

It’s the 19th of May and again he was there.

Just standing by the side of the tower.
